Drs. Foster & Smith and PetSafe are looking for the next great pet product invention. The My Pet Idea contest encourages inventive pet owners to submit their ideas for new pet products that will enhance the relationship between pet owners and their cats and dogs. The winner will receive a prize of $25,000.
Ideas can be submitted in the following categories:
- Products to eliminate a pet’s separation anxiety
- Products that give pet owners more flexibility over their schedules while ensuring proper care of their pets
- Training ideas for puppies
- Health and well-being products for cats and dogs
- Products to eliminate destructive behavior
- Ideas for enhancing the pet/pet owner bond
Pet lovers can submit ideas at the My Pet Idea website until Nov. 30. People can then vote for their favorite ideas at the website until Dec. 11. Votes will determine the top 100 pet product ideas. From the top 10, three winners will be chosen, winning prizes of $2,500, $5,000 and $25,000. The winning ideas could also be developed as actual products. In addition to the top prizes, several people will win a $250 Drs. Foster & Smith gift certificate for registering at the site.
