Do you think your cat has star quality? Then you might want to check out the StarPet online talent search. |
The search is on for the next Lassie or Morris. Bideawee, an animal shelter in New York City, and celebrity animal trainer Bash Dibra have organized StarPet 2008 to find the best cat and dog stars in America. The online pet talent search ends Friday, Oct. 10, with three feline and three canine finalists to be announced Oct. 13.
“If you are a proud owner of that special, charming, photogenic dog or cat with extraordinary talents, then this is the ultimate competition for you,” said Dibra.
Cat and dog owners can enter the contest at the StarPet 2008 website. To enter, upload a photo and video of your star-quality cat or dog. Animal lovers are invited to vote for their favorites on the website until Oct. 10.
Based on votes, six semi-finalists — three cats and three dogs — will be announced Oct. 13. The finalists’ owners will receive a three-day/two-night stay in New York City. On Nov. 10, the animal finalists will perform their special talents before a celebrity panel of judges, and one will win the grand prize — three months of representation by Dibra, with coaching on how to find and secure television and film roles for the winning cat or dog.
